The Linux Kernel, the operating system core itself.
Security Fix(es):
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: lpfc: Fix null pointer dereference after failing to issue FLOGI and PLOGI
If lpfc_issue_els_flogi() fails and returns non-zero status, the node reference count is decremented to trigger the release of the nodelist structure. However, if there is a prior registration or dev-loss-evt work pending, the node may be released prematurely. When dev-loss-evt completes, the released node is referenced causing a use-after-free null pointer dereference.
Similarly, when processing non-zero ELS PLOGI completion status in lpfc_cmpl_els_plogi(), the ndlp flags are checked for a transport registration before triggering node removal. If dev-loss-evt work is pending, the node may be released prematurely and a subsequent call to lpfc_dev_loss_tmo_handler() results in a use after free ndlp dereference.
Add test for pending dev-loss before decrementing the node reference count for FLOGI, PLOGI, PRLI, and ADISC handling.(CVE-2022-49535)
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: qla2xxx: Fix crash due to stale SRB access around I/O timeouts
Ensure SRB is returned during I/O timeout error escalation. If that is not possible fail the escalation path.
Following crash stack was seen:
BUG: unable to handle kernel paging request at 0000002f56aa90f8 IP: qla_chk_edif_rx_sa_delete_pending+0x14/0x30 [qla2xxx] Call Trace: ? qla2x00_status_entry+0x19f/0x1c50 [qla2xxx] ? qla2x00_start_sp+0x116/0x1170 [qla2xxx] ? dma_pool_alloc+0x1d6/0x210 ? mempool_alloc+0x54/0x130 ? qla24xx_process_response_queue+0x548/0x12b0 [qla2xxx] ? qla_do_work+0x2d/0x40 [qla2xxx] ? process_one_work+0x14c/0x390(CVE-2022-50098)
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
dmaengine: idxd: fix memory leak in error handling path of idxd_alloc
Memory allocated for idxd is not freed if an error occurs during idxd_alloc(). To fix it, free the allocated memory in the reverse order of allocation before exiting the function in case of an error.(CVE-2025-38015)
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nvmet-tcp: don't restore null sk_state_change
queue->state_change is set as part of nvmet_tcp_set_queue_sock(), but if the TCP connection isn't established when nvmet_tcp_set_queue_sock() is called then queue->state_change isn't set and sock->sk->sk_state_change isn't replaced.
As such we don't need to restore sock->sk->sk_state_change if queue->state_change is NULL.
This avoids NULL pointer dereferences such as this:

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mpls: Use rcu_dereference_rtnl() in mpls_route_input_rcu().
As syzbot reported [0], mpls_route_input_rcu() can be called from mpls_getroute(), where is under RTNL.
net->mpls.platform_label is only updated under RTNL.
Let's use rcu_dereference_rtnl() in mpls_route_input_rcu() to silence the splat.
net/mpls/af_mpls.c:84 suspicious rcu_dereference_check() usage!

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
usb: typec: altmodes/displayport: do not index invalid pin_assignments
A poorly implemented DisplayPort Alt Mode port partner can indicate that its pin assignment capabilities are greater than the maximum value, DP_PIN_ASSIGN_F. In this case, calls to pin_assignment_show will cause a BRK exception due to an out of bounds array access.
Prevent for loop in pin_assignment_show from accessing invalid values in pin_assignments by adding DP_PIN_ASSIGN_MAX value in typec_dp.h and using i < DP_PIN_ASSIGN_MAX as a loop condition.(CVE-2025-38391)
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
perf: Revert to requiring CAP_SYS_ADMIN for uprobes
Jann reports that uprobes can be used destructively when used in the middle of an instruction. The kernel only verifies there is a valid instruction at the requested offset, but due to variable instruction length cannot determine if this is an instruction as seen by the intended execution stream.
Additionally, Mark Rutland notes that on architectures that mix data in the text segment (like arm64), a similar things can be done if the data word is 'mistaken' for an instruction.
As such, require CAP_SYS_ADMIN for uprobes.(CVE-2025-38466)
